Jocelyn Viterna joins SCANCOR as Acting Director
We would like to share the exciting news that Jocelyn Viterna will be taking over as Acting Director of SCANCOR at the Weatherhead Center at Harvard University for the 2024–2025 academic year while Frank Dobbin is on sabbatical.
Jocelyn Viterna is a professor of sociology and the Chair of Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Harvard University. She is a long-term affiliate of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, and has been a visitor in the Weatherhead Scholars Program. Much of her early work was on the pro-democracy movement in El Salvador, and the role of women in the armed struggle.
Her research interests are gender, politics, law, social movement organizations, reproductive health, reproductive justice, criminalization of abortion, violence, and Central America. Visit her website to learn more.
