Daniela’s project aims to quantify the effects of ending legacy admissions on racial and socioeconomic diversity in university enrollment.

Selective admissions have long been a focal point of political debate globally, and the growing reliance on computational tools to manage expanding applicant pools introduces new complexities to these discussions. Léon’s research investigates the impact of algorithmic admissions on organizational practices and social equity, probing critical questions: What social values are encoded within these algorithms, and how do institutions navigate the tension between standardization and fairness?
