SCANCOR Seminars at Stanford
The Monday seminar is an occasion to consider the current work of senior SCANCOR scholars, Stanford faculty, and visitors from academic institutions throughout North America and elsewhere. Presentations typically are based on completed papers (circulated in advance) that are close to the stage of being ready for submission to an academic journal. Seminar participants critique the work and provide authors with suggestions for revisions and future research. The Monday seminar enjoys a large intramural following at Stanford and a strong international reputation. It is convened weekly from 10 - 11.30 AM during Stanford's Fall, Winter, and Spring academic quarters.

The Thursday seminar is an occasion for junior and senior SCANCOR scholars to present work in progress at any stage of its development. Papers are sometimes circulated in advance and are briefly presented by authors in each session. The Thursday seminar is populated primarily by SCANCOR scholars, select Stanford colleagues, and invited guests. It is convened weekly from 1:00-3:00PM during Stanford's Fall, Winter, and Spring academic quarters. An informal happy hour social is held later in the afternoon after the seminar.
