Silviya Svejenova

Silviya Svejenova is Professor of Leadership and Innovation at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark

 

Silviya is an Academic Co-director of the CBS Leadership Centre and imagine.. Creative Industries and Institutions Centre. She is an organizational scholar who investigates how creativity, innovation, and strategic leadership enable sustainable futures in contexts such as corporate C-suite, creative industries, emergency food relief, public libraries, craft-based collaborations, and artist-endowed foundations. Her research has contributed to the understanding of visuality, materiality, and temporality in organization studies. Silviya has published academic articles, books, and book chapters, as well as co-edited special issues of academic journals. Her work on creativity and innovation has received the Roland Calori Prize 2021 for a best paper published in Organization Studies and the European Management Review 2016 and 2021 best paper awards. Silviya has been a Chair of EGOS, the European Group for Organizational Studies, member of the EGOS Executive Board, and senior editor for Organization Studies. Currently she is a VP research of IFSAM, the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management, and serves on the Editorial Boards of the Academy of Management Review and Organization Theory. She has been a visiting fellow at SCANCOR Stanford in 2010 and SCANCOR Harvard in 2020. In 2018 she was a co-host of the 2018 SCANCOR PhD Workshop at CBS.
